What VOLIFT is, and when it is chosen
Juvederm® VOLIFT™ is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler made by Allergan Aesthetics. It is formulated with VYCROSS® technology, which blends hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights so the gel integrates smoothly into the tissue and keeps its shape without feeling rigid.
JUVÉDERM® is a collection rather than a single product, and different formulations are made for different treatment areas. VOLIFT™ is commonly selected for nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and for cheek, chin and jawline work, in appropriately selected patients.
Whether VOLIFT is the right product for you, or whether another filler in the collection suits the area better, is decided at your consultation after your facial anatomy and medical history are assessed. Every product used at the clinic is registered for use in the UAE.

What VOLIFT is used for
Areas are agreed at consultation. Not every area suits every patient, and in some cases a different filler in the range is the better choice.
Folds and lines
Nasolabial folds running from the nose to the corners of the mouth, and marionette lines running down from the corners. VOLIFT is used to soften the depth of the fold rather than erase the line entirely.
Cheeks, chin and jawline
Restoration of mild to moderate facial volume loss in the midface, and cheek, chin and jawline enhancement. Your practitioner will advise whether VOLIFT™ or another product in the collection is most appropriate for the area.
Lips, in selected cases
VOLIFT can be used in the lips for some patients, though for lip work specifically we more often reach for a filler developed for lip tissue. Your practitioner will say which applies to you.
What to expect
Treatment takes place in the clinic and how long it takes depends on how many areas are being addressed. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection points is common in the first days and settles on its own. Most people carry on with their day afterwards.
Results are not permanent. How long they last varies with the person, the area and the amount placed, and is discussed with you at consultation rather than promised in advance.
- Do not massage or press the area unless told to
- Avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day
- Avoid saunas, steam and strong heat for 24 hours
- Swelling and bruising are common and temporary

How is VOLIFT different from other Juvederm fillers?
JUVÉDERM® is a collection, and different products are designed for specific treatment areas and aesthetic goals. VOLIFT™ is commonly used for folds and facial contour, while VOLUX™ is designed for jawline and chin definition. Your practitioner determines which is most appropriate at consultation.
Can VOLIFT be combined with Botox?
Often, yes. They do different jobs: Botox relaxes the muscles that crease the skin, filler restores volume and contour. Many facial plans use both, and the order and timing are planned at your consultation.
Is there any downtime?
Usually very little. Most people go back to normal activities shortly after the appointment. Swelling or a small bruise at an injection point can last a few days, so it is worth planning around an important event.
How long does the appointment take?
It depends on how many areas are treated and on your individual plan. The consultation itself is unhurried, and treatment on the same visit is possible in many cases once you have agreed the plan.
